So completely unexpected -- I am staying in Palermo for a 4th transfer!!
Definitely was not what I expected and even stranger, my trainee is staying in the
same ward as me and just moving to the little suburb city. So that's
interesting. And I will be getting Sorella S to be my comp. She is in my
group from the MTC so I am so excited about that.
So this week there is a wack vacation week in Italy called
Ferragosto, which basically is for the ascension of Mary in heaven where they
just go to the beach. So the week has been a little different. On Monday we had
a shortened P-Day and then we did service with 2 districts of our zone after an
incredible meal appointment where I ate way too much. We were all out here with
the fullest bellies picking up trash for like 3 hours in the hot sun. And then
helped E, the lady who made my African dress, clean up her shop. We also
did deep cleaning (we love that), and had an African party which was
really fun and this cutie cutie girl we are teaching came. I wore my African
dress and President K asked if he could snap me. That's a win.
One thing that really stuck out to me in church this week
was a quote from bishop. He said that gratitude isn't about thinking about the past
or what we want in the future but where we are now. So focus on now and the
things we have, not the things that could be!!!
Love you all --
Sorella Gisseman
Street contacting...my companion started this painting last week.
A cutie little girl at church who wanted to take a picture with me.
This is K -- we're teaching her family.
